Raymond is a native of Charleston, SC and has lived in Myrtle Beach since 1983. He is a graduate of the University of South Carolina. He has been a qualifying agent for an unlimited general contractors license for over thirty years. His early years in construction were spent working with his father in the Charleston area on projects ranging from historical restoration to large industrial projects. Upon relocating to Myrtle Beach he began constructing residential units. Here in the Horry County area he has managed large developments for investors, designed many homes for clients, and ran his own construction company for sixteen years. During his time in Myrtle Beach he has been responsible for building of over 1500 residential units. In the spring of 2009 he earned the LEED Professional Accreditation through the USGBC.
Raymond and his wife Jennie live in Surfside Beach with their two Pugs, Odie and Louie (aka: Prince Odie of Horry and Lord Louie of the Low Country), their sixteen year old cat, Dusty, and adopted stray cats, Pierre and Coco. Their daughter Caroline is receiving her undergraduate and master's degrees from the University of Georgia and is about to embark on a career in advertising in Atlanta. He has an adult daughter Melissa living in Charleston.
During the summer months Raymond and Jennie can be found enjoying the cool breezes, sunshine, and sights of the south strand beaches. He firmly believes in the quote from Thomas Edison: "There is no substitute for hard work."
